Keep it simple by avoiding the purchase of junk food. Replace your favorite junk foods with healthy alternatives that you still enjoy snacking on, such as salsa, fresh fruits and granola bars. Don't buy foods that you know will sabotage your weight loss plan. Make it difficult for you to have the junk food that you want by never purchasing it or bringing it into your home.

Bring a friend when you workout. If we are on our own, we often make excuses to relieve ourselves of more difficult responsibilities. If you have a partner, you will be more motivated to complete your workout, even if you are starting to tire. You will always have someone to turn to when you feel discouraged and exhausted by the sheer effort of weight loss.
